Bilney Lane Children's Home
The Bilney Lane Children’s Home operates under the
auspices of The Bahamas Conference of the Methodist Church, as
a part of its Outreach Programme, and its partnership with the
Department of Social Services.
The Church seeks to ensure that the children who live
in this Home are being brought up in a safe, Christian
environment. The Church also aims to nurture these children,
teach them to be law-abiding citizens and teach them good
Christian values in order that they will grow to become good
and productive citizens in our country.
The Home’s main source of income is from the Church and
the community combined with a grant from the Bahamas
Government and any donations which may be made to the Home by
Corporate Sponsors.
Unfortunately, during the past few years, income has
fallen off and the Home is in need of some financial
assistance.
Mrs. Janet Brown,
together with her assistants are doing a wonderful job with
the children. The Home is ready welcomes persons who are
willing to come and offer assistance at any time, especially
in the area of homework.
