Rev. Jacinta Marie Neilly

Rev. Jacinta Marie Neilly hails from the beautiful Island of Eleuthera. She received her early education at the Lower Bogue All Age School and in 1989 graduated as Head Girl of the Governor’s Harbour High School. At the age of fourteen years, she accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Savior.
Rev. Neilly graduated from The College of The Bahamas, obtaining an Associate and a Bachelors Degree in Accounting and Bookkeeping, and a Teacher’s Certificate in Secondary Education.
While studying at COB, she worshipped at Curry Memorial Methodist Church, South Beach, where she became the Sunday School Superintendent and Youth Coordinator.
For six years, she taught Economics and Accounting at H. O. Nash Junior and R. M. Bailey High Schools respectively. In 2001 she withdrew from the teaching profession and began her studies at The Candler School of Theology, Emory University, in Atlanta, Georgia, U.S.A. where she obtained a Masters of Divinity Degree and Certificates in both Christian Education and Clinical Pastoral Education.
Immediately following graduation, Rev. Marie Neilly became the minister at Wesley Methodist Church in Harbour Island. She faithfully served the people of Harbor Island for six years. In September 2010 she was reappointed to the Eastern Abaco Region where she serves as the Ministerial Moderator.
Rev. Neilly has also fruitfully served as the BCMC Director of Worship and Fellowship with responsibility for the Board of Lay Ministry & Training, Women & Men’s Ministry, Music Ministry, Church School’s & Education and Children, Youth & Young Adult Ministry.
